WHERE WOULD I STAY IN DELHI?

We are offering two suggestions. Both are in a great location, near to one another and about 25 to 30min from the Indira Int. Airport and about the same distance from the New Delhi Railway Station:

1) OPTION 1: SRI AUROBINDO ASHRAM
Address: Sri Aurobindo Marg, Begumpur Road, Kalu Sarai, New Delhi, Delhi 110016
Phone: +91 11 2656 7863

Quiet, serene, beautiful campus and good location. There are some requirements to follow, please click here. If you like to experience ashram life please click on “I have read the guest rules and I agree to abide by them,” then complete and submit the visitor’s form. Use this link to make the reservation yourself. Please make sure to select “Delhi” and either single of double accommodation. You will need to upload your passport page with the photograph.

Sri Aurobindo Ashrams are well know for their modern designs, cleanliness and openness to receive everyone without discrimination. They do, however, reserve the rights to admission.

Ashram prices: Rs. 1,000 (single accommodation including meals and yoga), Rs. 1,500 (double accommodation including meals and yoga).

NOTE: If you want to stay here during your time in Delhi, please mention on the “Purpose/Reason” field of the form that you are part of the HeartSourcing Retreat Group. You may also add your personal purpose for staying in the ashram. All meals are vegetarian and part of the accommodation, which I believe is by donation.

NOTE: they have a 10pm door close policy. This applies after you’ve already checked-in only. This means that if you are arriving in Delhi>>Ashram after 10pm, no problem. You can still check in.

2) OPTION 2: juSTa Panchsheel Park, New Delhi – Hotel
Address: S-362 Panchsheel Park, New Delhi 110017
Phone: +91 9590 777 000

If you prefer to stay in a hotel, here is a good option (5min driving distance from Sri Aurobindo Ashram).

Rates given to our group: Rs. 4,100/night Single Occupancy (includes breakfast and all taxes) and Rs. 4,800/night Double Occupancy (includes breakfast for two and all taxes).

NOTE: Please do not make a reservation through the hotel directly. We’ve worked with an agency that got us the group discount. You’ll need to pay to the agency directly. Payments can be done via credit card (a 5% transaction fee will be applied). I will be getting the payment details to you soon via email.5AM. The ride from the hotel to the railway station is about 25-30min.

NOTE: Please remember to book your taxi from the hotel to the railway station in advance. You can do this with the hotel’s concierge and have them confirm the taxi reservation to you. You can arrange with other participants staying at the hotel to share taxi. The checkout shall be before

If none of the suggestions above suits your needs/desires, feel free to choose what’s best for you. Delhi offers a large array of opportunities to all the budgets.

DO YOU SERVE GLUTEN-FREE AND DAIRY-FREE (VEGAN) MEALS?

While we are unable to accommodate special dietary needs, dairy-free options are generally available at meals. By choosing carefully from the variety of  meals offered at the buffet, you can limit your intake of gluten.

NOTE: If you have severe food restrictions, please discuss your case with us in advance. We will try our best to attend to your needs.

NOTE: If you use medicines for your specific allergy case, please do not forget to bring them with you. The medical supply in Kainchi is limited and different than that of the West, and we cannot guarantee to be able to provide you of it in the event it is needed.

WILL MEALS BE PROVIDED DURING MY STAY IN KAINCHI?

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian breakfast, lunch and dinner per day are included in the cost of your stay at Sudha Amar Retreat (our retreat home). The food is fresh, clean and they use local ingredients. The meals are self-serve, buffet-style, at specified times. If you have an allergy to a specific meal/product or a specific food restriction, please let us know in advance. We will try our best to coordinate this type of special needs with the kitchen staff. They are very helpful.

NOTE: Meals taken at another place different than the retreat home, are not included in your retreat package.

I WILL BE TRAVELING ALONE. DO YOU ASSIGN MY ROOMMATES?

Roommates of the same gender are assigned when an individual registers as traveling alone. If you have friends registering for the same Immersion dates and you agree to share accommodations, you may request a specific roommate or roommates. The Immersion Organizer will endeavor to honor requests for roommates. Couples will share a 1-room suite.

IS LAUNDRY SERVICE AVAILABLE?

Laundry services will be available for a fee during the time of the retreat at Sudha Amar Retreat in Kainchi. Or you may choose the gentler approach and personally wash your laundry by hand.

WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATIONS AT THE RETREAT HOTEL IN KAINCHI?

Each guest room is equipped with beds with comfortable Western-style mattresses and an en-suite shared bath for shower or bucket bathing and a Western-style toilet and sink. Each bathroom has water heater. Each room has a coffee/tea table with two chairs. One sheet, one pillow with cover, one comforter, and a towel are provided. Basic toiletry (enough if you are staying for a couple of days) is provided but, plan to bring a supply of your own (read more about this in “What to Bring.”) Sleeping bags are not necessary during our stay at the retreat hotel, nor in the suggested hotel in Delhi.

Accommodations for the Immersion are double occupancy (option of a King-size bed or two individual twin beds.) We are not offering single, private accommodation during this retreat.

For the comfort and safety of all during your stay, we ask that you avoid wearing strong perfumes, fragrances, or burning incense or candles in your room.
